When you offer a multi-month discount during an online rental, you may want that tenant to pay that full amount up front!

For example, let's say you have a spicy discount for 20% off of 6 month's rent when the tenant prepays in advance. If you are offering a discount like this, you will want to make sure that the tenant has to prepay their rent for 6 months when they select the discount.

With that said, let's have a look at how to enforce prepayment on multi-month discounts you offer!

SiteLink Settings

There are some discount settings in SiteLink that you will need to consider. Below is a screenshot of how your discount should look if you are setting up a multi-month discount where you want to force prepayment during an online rental:

Discounts on the Website

Once you have the multi-month discount up in SiteLink, tenants will need to prepay the entirety of the discount length. In the example below, you will see that the first month's rent in prorated, and the remaining 12 months have the 10% off discount applied:

Take-Aways

  • Make sure your SiteLink settings are in order

  • Check the discount on your website to see if it is applying correctly

  • SiteLink Support can assist further with your discount settings if you are having issues
